Title: Flat 2

Author: Edgar Wallace

Publisher: John Long, London

Edition: First UK Edition, First Printing

Date Printed: 1927

Description: The first printing of the first edition, in the rare original dust jacket designed by Vernon Soper, bearing the original first printing price of 7/6 to the spine.

Brilliant Golden Age Mystery about the mysterious murder of Louda, proprietor of a notorious and unsavoury gambling hell, with action shifting between Bucharest and London.

The dust jacket is worn, torn, marked and creased, with about 5% loss by area including a large missing piece from the bottom of the front cover (see pictures). The book itself is in good, sound condition, with some bumping, and slight dulling to the spine, and a mark to the front free endpaper (see pictures).

Rare in the dust jacket in any condition.

Provenance: The dust jacket was part of the collection of rare original dust jackets compiled by the celebrated bibliographer and rare book dealer George Locke. We are pleased to have been able to continue George Locke's project by reuniting the dustjacket with its book.
