patented 1908. Base was a cast,delicate forked ''V" shape.
~this is is a self-feeding type drill press. It got knocked off the bench when we were installing the overhead crane 20 years ago. it flipped and fully landed on the base.
the base broke in several pieces and the small pawl (attaches to drill gear)that engages the feed lever disappeared as well,...This was good working at that time..😬
