ABRAHAM LINCOLN Assassination Relic - Death Room Wallpaper Piece. You are bidding on an actual piece of wallpaper taken from President Abraham Lincoln's death room at the Petersen House in Washington, D.C. According to a letter of examination from the National Park Service in 1980 (see uploaded photo), multiple layers of wallpaper were removed from the death room in the early 1900's. You are bidding on an actual piece of wallpaper removed from one of those layers of wallpaper. We, the current sellers, personally clipped this piece from the larger lot examined by the National Park Service / Dept. of Interior in 1980. The piece you are bidding on measures approximately 1.25" x 1.00". (Note:  There is tape repair on the reverse side of this piece). We will start the bidding at a penny and let you eBayers decide the true value of this great piece of Lincolniana.

*A copy of the 1980-dated letter issued by the National Park Service / Dept. of Interior, stating that they examined the wallpaper layers and concluded they are authentic. We are including this for your provenance. See uploaded photo.

Provenance: We (the current sellers) purchased the Lincoln death room wallpaper lot directly from Heritage Auction Galleries (HA.com) in 2011. We sold some clips of this wallpaper several years ago; we are selling more to recoup some of our original investment.
