MONTY
With Clyde Borly And His
Orchestra
(Both Songs Sung In Spanish)
SIDE
A: PERO ALLI
(Mais La-bas)
SIDE
B: EL TIEMPO
(Le Temps)
WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and
HARD-TO-FIND original Disc Jockey Records very first PROMOTIONAL Stereo press
released, made and distributed in Argentina in 1966 by Disc Jockey Records, licensed
from Barclay Records, France, catalog number TS 713, with hand etched matrix
numbers TS-713 A in Side A and TS-713 B in Side B, with traditional yellow/black
Disc Jockey labels of the period, with green “Disc Jockey” and logo at top and
solid center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!
“Mais La-bas” was originally
released in France as Side B of “Ton Père, Ta Mère Et Ta Sœur” in 1965 and “Le
Temps” is taken from the debut album, “Monty”, released in 1965. As far as I
know this single was ONLY RELEASED IN ARGENTINA and it plays at 33 1/3 RPM. But
the most important fact is that BOTH SONGS ARE SUNG IN SPANISH. This single has
a cover, made of a single thin paper folded in the middle (at the bottom edge)
with back cover pasted on the flaps (at top and left edges) of front cover. If
you know Monty and his discography, then you will have already noticed that
Picture Sleeve in front cover uses the same photo of Monty used in his debut
album and also in the EP “Bientot Les Vacances”, with the only difference that
in this single it has the name “Monty” at top left corner with no text at all,
only the Barclay Records logo at bottom right corner. Back cover has the name
of the singer and credits for the conductor of the orchestra, song titles
written in Spanish, translated to French and additional information about
licenses, with pictures of other 4 singles released by Disc Jockey Records. In
labels, song titles are written in Spanish, translated to French, with full
credits for songwriters and for Clyde Borly and his orchestra, with additional
information about licenses, rights societies, publishers and production, and
play time of each song. So, here you have the chance to get and own this
MEGARARE and UNIQUE SINGLE by French singer Monty, with UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE,
with Spanish-written song titles and BOTH SONGS SUNG IN SPANISH. A record
almost never seen and maybe now auctioned here in eBay by the very first time.
WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of French Pop/Beat
music and especially for all fans, lovers and collectors of Monty and Clyde
Borly!!!
The cover was already described and it’s in great
VG or VG+ condition, clean and clear, with some creases, ring marks, some
little rips and wear in all edges, more evident in corners and mouth edge, with
age browning and faint blemishes in back cover, still complete but with seam
splits at spine (about 2,5 inches) and bottom edges (about 1 inch), which don’t
really affect the look of the cover as you can see in the pictures. The record
is in EX or EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only some light scuffs
and soft hairlines, hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect play at all.
Labels on both sides are in great EX or EX+ condition, clean and clear, with only
some minimal spindle hole wear, some micro tears and the letter “F” written in
Side B. The sound is in strong EX+ or even NM- condition the Side A, loud,
clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in
records from Chile), with only minimal and mostly barely audible soft crackles,
more evident in the last seconds of the song, and in EX- or EX condition the
Side B, with constant soft crackles and occasional light pops here and there,
which don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record
keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this
MEGARARE and UNIQUE PRESS, ONLY RELEASED IN ARGENTINA, with Spanish-written
song titles and UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, maybe not for strict Minty minds or
audiophiles, but with still a nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and great
sound quality after about 58 years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone and should
satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this
Chilean press and in this great condition!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels
and cover in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the

copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy
again… Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and

We don’t use the generic
“VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or
“NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a
normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading
System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed
records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate
description.
MINT (M): I only use this
grade for Sealed records. NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like
new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only
some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the
sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or
poster are in like perfect condition. BAD (B): The record
is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a
collection-filler.

FEEDBACK We don’t have anything to hide and we know the
buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most
of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know
that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to
receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must
receive feedback for. And we expect to receive positive feedback from buyers
who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
