A USB thermometer / temperature sensor for use with Draytek routers and access points. It's in excellent cosmetic condition and comes with its USB extension cable. The thermometer has been given a functional test and it's working as it should.

The sensor has a substantial metal case so it records the "smoothed" ambient temperature - this avoids getting false readings due to air currents (e.g. when a door is opened). It can plug directly into the router/AP, or the extension lead can be used to move it a short distance away so that conducted heat from the router or AP electronics is not included in the measurement.

Monitoring software is built into the router or AP and there's no setup required - the sensor just plugs into the USB port and the temperature is plotted automatically, and the results can be viewed via the router's or AP's web interface. The screenshot shows one of these in use with a 2860n router.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: This works well with with 2760, 2762, 2832, 2860, 2862, 2960 and 3900 series routers, and with AP810, AP900, and AP902 access points. It will probably work with others but I have not tried it, so if your device is not one of the above and you are not sure, please ask before you buy and I'll check if I can.

There's no fancy packaging but the sensor will be packed securely so that it is properly protected in transit.
