Up for auction is this nickel plated on brass Welsbach Sunlight incandescent mantle kerosene lamp, dating from the 1920s,  sold by Welsbach in England.

This is the table lamp version, stands 17 inches high to top of mantle hoop on a ventilated base 6&1/2 inches diameter . Well made in brass with nickel plate. There are no dents, no splits and no leaks (tested with kerosene)  . No wick present ( takes a standard 20 line wick) the wick winder works perfectly and the burner is complete with all internal structures, correct flamespreader and an original mantle carrier frame . The detachable mantle carrier is the correct one for this lamp.

These lamps are WAY bigger and brighter than an aladdin, the mantle for these is approx 90mm tall, well over twice the power of an aladdin . The mantle shown in last 3 pictures is a recent experimental one, full size.
