A perennial plant.    It has large glossy green  leaves, and tall spires of purple and white flowers emerging in spring to flower from late spring to mid-summer.

After flowering the spike dries and the leaves die back to regrow soon after. Great for borders, pots and mass plantings.

These plants were grown in separate pots, but are sold bare rooted and some die back may occur after initial planting, but will soon regrow.
