Vintage Japanese rectangular shaped picnic basket. Split reed bamboo woven, 2 handles on top, unique wood latches, brass-hinged lid. Measures about 16x13 inches and 10 inches tall including lid. Very good condition, well cared for basket! The strings that hold the wood latches, and the loops appear to have been replaced at some point. We estimate 1920s-1950s vintage. Stamped "Japan" underneath.
