On offer is a 1mA + 1mA DC FSD dual moving coil panel mounted meter movement that has a common scale with two pointers / needles and is manufactured by Sifam in England. This has a black scale plate with white scale legend; one pointer or needle is coloured green and the other pointer or needle is coloured red. 

It measures about 3.75 inches x 4.25 inches x 3.00 inches deep including the connection terminals. The meter display fits through a viewing window of about 2.125 inches x 3.375 inches. The meter is scaled for use as a PPM, as shown in the photographs and has a scale illumination LED module included. When 18v DC was applied to the LED module, it lit up, as shown in photograph 6.

Sensitivity:	1mA ± 1%
Resistance:	600 ohms ± 5%
Dynamic characteristics:	When a current of 0.93mA is rapidly applied to the indicator when connected in series with 100k ohm non-reactive resistance, the pointer over-shoot is not to exceed 5% of the steady reading. 0.93mA corresponds to 7 on the scale.
Scale:	BBC 1-7, white characters on black background.

Both meters operate cleanly and accurately over the whole scale without any sticky points - see photographs 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 [for info]. 

These meters are no longer manufactured, but a well-known professional audio supply company still has three in stock at approaching £400.00 each.

These high quality meters were used by professional users and were very popular from the 1980s onwards. This is an rare opportunity to obtain one of these meters as a replacement for a faulty or missing meter in existing equipment or as a meter in a home construction project.
