A very elegant and Classic Vintage Rare 18k Rose Gold Chronographe Suisse Chronograph Watch Landeron 51 Cal. For sale in great working order.

The markings on the dial show “Chronographe Suisse 17 jewels” and “Swiss made” at the bottom. the dial has developed a lovely patina over time and I would say it’s a salmon/copper colour with raised golden hour markers.

The hands which are original to the watch are steel blue and the contrast is immense against the copper dial when seen in the light (I’ve tried to picture this)

This is a very honest, original and complete watch (leather alligator strap is an obvious replacement and is worn so the new owner may like to keep or change based on your preference)

The watch functions as it should with a dozen or so winds to get it going. The timing is very accurate for a vintage watch and the chrono functions work as they should. The crown and buttons are also original to the watch and the general condition of the watch is very good considering it’s age. There are some obvious marks and scratches commensurate with age. the 18k caseback has some age wear as can be seen on the pictures but other than this it’s in fantastic shape.

to summarise then a very solid and smart watch which can be bought as an investment or worn daily. The landeron 51 calibre movement is robust and well known for its work horse like qualities and were also used in other luxurious brands such as Omega etc for their chronograph watches.
