I purchased this printer new from Amazon in…2008? 2009? Something like that. I was a college student at the time and sick of paying 5 cents per page to print from our library's printer (lab reports = many pages = $$$ = RIP night at the bar = RIP chances of getting laid), so I bought my own. This printer served me well for about 10 years. It still works, but I want Wi-Fi (AirPrint, namely) capabilities and duplex printing (among other options which are not available to me on the LaserJet) so I bought a new printer and I'm remorsefully selling this one.

The printer went through a period where it kept jamming (picking up multiple pieces of paper at once) so I disassembled it and replaced every obvious part I could think of. No improvement. Still jammed. THEN—I found out about the solenoid. That was the issue. I cleaned the old deteriorating foam off the solenoid and rebuilt it with a few small pieces of electric tape. The printer no longer jams. Hurrah.  Simple and easy to repair again if need be. You will be receiving the following excess parts I'd ordered during my misguided efforts to repair the jam:
- RM1-0658 transfer roller
- RM1-0648 separation pad assembly
- RL1-0266 pickup roller

Condition-wise: It's an old printer but still prints adequately. See test print pages (last three photos). I replaced the toner in 2021 but have hardly printed anything the past few years. My Apple computer isn't able to check the toner level but I'd estimate it's at at least 75%.

The front door does not stay closed; a piece of plastic broke off a few years ago so I used a piece of blue painter's tape to keep it shut when not in use. Also, a piece of plastic broke off the rail that secures the blue slider that's attached to the door, so the slider can now be slid all the way off. Neither of these defects affects functionality, but do be aware of them and know that the plastic is starting to become brittle. I'm pricing this item accordingly.

Manufacturing date is: March 2007

Comes with power cord but no USB cable. (I'm selfishly poaching the one I have—if you don't already have one on hand, you can find one for cheap on Amazon or Monoprice.)

Message me if you have any questions and look closely at the photos.
