Maker: It's indisputable: Limoges says quality. And T&V - Tressemann and Vogt - produced some of the world's finest and most beautiful Limoges porcelain.

Design: This superb plate features a gorgeous pattern of bold multicolored flowers against pure white fine quality porcelain trimmed in cobalt blue. It's the pattern that replacements.com calls TRV97.

In keeping with the exceptionally high quality that made the company's porcelain so famous and so coveted, the plate is finely hand painted.

Age: The green underglaze "T&V Limoges" white ware mark number 7, which was in use between 1892 and 1907, appears on the reverse along with the iconic T&V magenta bell mark number 16 that dates the plate's decoration to between 1907 and 1919. Because the marks overlap for only one year, this plate was produced in 1907, making it 112 years old. Source: The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, third edition.

Size: It's 8 1/2 inches wide and weighs 10.6 ounces.

Condition: The plate is in excellent condition, especially considering its age and fragile material. There are no cracks, nicks, chips, stains, repairs, crazing or wear. The blue trim is entirely intact. There are a few tiny utensil marks that can be seen in bright light.
