Maker: This sophisticated 5-piece place setting is by England's renowned ceramics firm Aynsley, which has been producing fabulous china in Staffordshire since 1775.

Design: The lightly scalloped pattern features rich cobalt and gold bands around a band of cream and a center of pure white bone china.

A green Aynsley back stamp appears on all 5 pieces along with the handwritten pattern number 7817.

Its simple and classic elegance mean this place setting would complement countless similar patterns by Aynsley or other fine makers.

Composition and size: The place setting consists of:

- one dinner plate, 10 1/2 inches wide

- one salad plate, 8 3/8 inches wide

- one bread & butter plate, 6 1/4 inches wide

- one cup, 3 3/4 inches wide at the opening and 2 1/4 inches tall

- one saucer, 5 5/8 inches wide.

The place setting weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces.

Condition: All the pieces are in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs or wear. There is a small white manufacturing flaw on the salad plate - it's shown in the photo with the red arrow - and a few faint utensil marks on the plates.

Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
