I am offering a true FIRST EDITION, FIRST STATE of the F. Scott Fitzgerald 1922 novel "The Beautiful and Damned." The is the true first edition without the Scribner's colophon on the copyright page, as called for. This was Fitzgerald's second novel.

The condition of the volume is very good. It is tight and clean. The gilt on the spine is nice. No internal markings. The book has a bit of fraying on the top of the spine, but it is difficult to find a copy of this book with a pristine spine. Please see my photos, as they are part of the description.

Please be aware of other copies of this book offered on Ebay that are misrepresented as first edition, first states, but are not. The first edition, first state does not feature the Scribner's colophon on the copyright page.
