For sale is a 1961 US Open tournament used putter and contestant badge used by Bobby Brue. Brue was the first round leader at Oakland Hills CC with a first round score of 69. Included is the putter he used to achieve that feat. Bobby fully describes the putter in a letter that he signed. Putter has all stampings and markings described by Brue in his letter. Also included is a sketch of Brue, also signed, and his contestant badge from that years US Open, where the putter was used. It may have been used in other majors and tournaments during the 1961 season. Brue was a very well known golfer, especially in Wisconsin, where he was a 5-time champion of the Wisconsin State Open. He played for many years on the PGA and Senior PGA tours. Brue passed away in 2017.
