For auction is a vintage 1970's necklace comprising of natural Australian Black Opal doublet set into a yellow gold over solid sterling silver setting. It comes on its original light yellow gold over solid sterling silver removeable chain. 

Discovered in the inherited multi generational storage locker, wow my family were (and still are!) prolific collectors. 

The pendant is around 4.6cm (46mm) tall including the bale by 2.7cm (27mm) wide by around 0.4cm (4mm) deep.

The pendant has a large natural Australian opal doublet, with gorgeous play of colour: lots of blue, green and yellow pin points.

The beautiful Australian opal doublet itself is around 0.7cm (7mm) tall by 0.5cm (5mm) wide by around 0.15cm (1.5mm) deep. 

The pendant is marked ST. S and guaranteed to be yellow gold metal over solid sterling silver and a natural Australian black opal doublet stone.

It comes on its original light yellow gold metal over solid sterling silver removeable chain which is around 42.0cm (420mm) long when closed and marked 925 on the spring ring.

Total weight of this vintage natural Australian black opal pendant necklace is around 5.39 grams.
