Up for auction is a vintage 1960s, solid sterling silver, natural amethyst and natural cultured pearl bracelet chain.

These bracelets were commonly given as bridesmaids gifts in the 1950s and 1960s.

Many were made by Simpson Jewellery Company (Donald Simpson) using Mikimoto Pearls (only the best!)

The bracelet chain is at good wearable length at around 19.5 cm (195mm) long when closed.

The chain is marked STERLING on the original easy to apply, spring clasp.

The spacer bars are testing as sterling but unusually, the wire actually threaded through the pearls and amethysts appears to be silver plated. For extra strength?

The 3 (3) round, natural cultured pearls are each around 0.7cm (7mm) in diametre.

The 3 (3) round, natural tumble polished amethyst stones are each around 0.7cm (7mm) in diametre by 1.3cm (13mm) long.

Gorgeous bluish pink cream colours, complete nacre cover. Mikimoto? Certainly very high quality natural cultured pearls in excellent condition.

The natural amethyst stones are a beautiful rich purple colour and compliment the natural cultured pearls (and vice versa)

Beautifully made. Gorgeous to wear.

Weight is around 5.66 grams.

Beautiful and guaranteed to get compliments when worn.

Thanks to all the genuine buyers out there and welcome.

Yes, I do combine postage. Please contact me to tell me what you are doing. Thanks and good luck.

P.S. For all the International buyers out there,

I apologise for the $5 AU postage and handling fee. This charge is to cover insurance via the postal carrier as eBay Australia does not cover claims for "items not received" even with tracking showing. It also pays for a signature on delivery. My humblest apologies.

Thanks.
