This is a fabulous 9ct yellow gold coiled twin snake ring with rubies and diamonds, in a size S US 9.

In 1840, Prince Albert designed a snake ring for Queen Victoria, two snakes wrapped round the finger in an enchanting symbol of eternal love. This made snake rings extremely popular during this time, and have remained popular ever since.

Each snake head has a 3mm ruby and two 1.25mm (approx) diamonds for the eyes. It's condition is good apart from some minor surface scratches and a little staining on the inner band, where it looks like the gold has been tested, though this would easily polish out and does not show when worn. The ring is around 9mm top to bottom at the front and 2.5mm at the back. It is fully hallmarked as pictured and weighs approximately 3.3g. It will come boxed ,but not the box pictured. All jewellery has been sonically cleaned prior to listing.
