" Tape point !!  Seriously ...  And, my oh my was 6/24/85 Riverbend a Special-One !  Set I flat-out Cooks ! straight out of the gate, with a heavy-duty Alabama > Greatest Story ! Opener - and a Loser - Let It Grow Closer ... and, you just can feel that they are Dead On ! ... Dead-Sync !! - right there, and then.  And Set II ???  Well, it's pretty much just one for the G.D. History Books, for all 'ye fellow Lovers of Mid-'80's Grateful Dead - and, Especially 1985 !!!  As Here ! Fans, is the ' Tale of the Tape ! ' ... if, of course - you Love ! that '80's Bobby Ace !! -- just like we most all-do !  Hopefully, you've already enjoyed this Show for years & years too - and even more hopefully, I hope you were lucky enough to catch this Riverbend '85 Show !!!  As it sure-was one of the ( Many !! ) " Hotties !!! " from this 1985 Grateful Dead Touring Year !  And, quite frankly ... I must admit that I was quite nervous ( & pretty uneasy - to be completely honest ! ) about what the 30-Trips " Pick " for 1985 ! would be.  And, knowing full-well that if " The ! " '85 Show wasn't picked ( 6/30/85 MPP !!! ) - " One of The-Best ! Dead Shows of All-Time !! " - ( or, even 4/8/85 - 6/25/85 - 6/28/85 - 10/26/85 - 11/10 (or 11 !)/85 - 11/21/85 for that matter ) then I was just really-really-Really ! hoping that I wouldn't be disappointed ( or, better said ... downright - depressed ! ).  But, the Powers That Be sure came-through with this one - as quite frankly, I'd easily put this 6/24/85 Riverbend " Smoker !!! " up-there as a " Top-5 ! " from '85 !!!  And, heck - as you can't ask for too much more then that - but, just being honest here ... I was still So-Nervous ?!?  Being that I ( & So-Many Deadheads out there ( You know who You-Are ! ) ) take Huge-Pride !! in the Vital & Historical ' Importance ' of 1985 Grateful Dead !!!  Garcia !!! with that Glassy ! & Fat !! Mac'ed Up Tone !! ... dang, as just typing this makes me want to go & listen to some more right now - for the 2nd-Time ! Today !!  MXR Analog Delay ! & Phase-100 !! -- Boss OD-1 ! & HM-2 !!! -- Mutron Envelope Filter !!!! ... The ( Real ! ) " King Of Rock & Roll !!! " just Bringin'-It !! ...
