This SHURE M44-7 is simply an outstanding cartridge. While considered a "DJ" cartridge, the SHURE M44-7 was manufactured for 20+ years before being designated as such. The original design was intended to provide incredible Tracking ability with a large soundstage, deep bass, and excellent definition. These cartridges were a favorite of jukebox manufacturers for these various reasons. Don't be fooled by the "DJ" moniker assigned to these cartridges. They are OUTSTANDING for every day use at the consumer level and still is one of my favorite SHURE cartridges ever. (I have one on the AR-XA Turntable in my collection and will never trade it for anything). It's simply excellent in every way.
