diecast from Action, driven by Darrell Waltrip for team owner Rick Hendrick (Hendrick Motorsports) in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series to the win in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on February 19th, 1989. For the race, Darrell qualified in the 2nd position and led 25 of the 200 laps on the way to
the
victory - his first (and only) Daytona 500 win after 17 years of trying.
This car was released in 2002 celebrating Darrell's win at "The Great American Race".
The
car
is in great condition (box was opened and car removed only for pictures
during my ownership). The
box shows signs of light shelf wear on the corners while the sleeve shows signs of light to mild shelf wear on the corners/edges (see attached
photos).
