A beautiful Art Deco Period sterling silver salt by Jean Puiforcat.

There is a wood bead between the flared bowl and the base.

Fully Hallmarked. On the base, JEAN E PUIFORCAT with the Minerva silver standard.  The underside of the bowl is marked with the maker’s Initial Logo and a Minerva Head. Pictured.

Measures approximately, 3” across the bowl x 2” across the bowl x 2 ¼” tall.  Pictured next to a quarter coin for scale.

In very good condition. No dents.  However, the silver has scratches.  I debated whether or not to have the scratches polished out.  But as this is an important period piece by a fine silversmith, so I decided to leave it up to the next owner.

France, c 1930’s.
