MINT – Looks brand new. No flaws (Finding vintage books in this condition is an anomaly).

VERY FINE – Essentially the desired benchmark of "collectible copies".  A book without any real notable flaws however it is obvious the book is not brand new.  Pages are White and clean.

FINE – A book with some minor flaws, but no major flaws.  Overall a very collectible copy.

VERY GOOD – An average book with a some combination of several flaws or one or two major flaws.  Acceptable as a collectible book.

GOOD -  Sub standard book with noted edge wear. and several flaws both minor and major.

FAIR – A well read used copy with several major and minor flaws.   Excessive edge wear. Likely significant pieces missing from the dust jacket or no jacket at all.  For non jacketed books a book that has been well used but is not "falling apart".

POOR – A damaged book.  May contain torn pages, missing or tattered dust jacket.
