FEATURES :

Receives .15 to 30 mhz in 5 bands.
Bandspread helps to spread out crowded bands so you can differentiate stations on shortwave and ham bands.
Antenna trimmer is a useful function in peaking the signals on a selected band.
ANL (automatic noise limiter) reduces background electrical or static noise.
RF Gain tones down those powerful stations signal so your receiver does not overload and distort.
BFO is perfect for listening to Hams operating SSB on the 80,40,20, and 10 meter bands (includes CB band).
AVC (auto volume control) levels out audio signals as they "wave" in.
Stand By control keeps receiver in ready mode while drawing less power and less wear and tear on switches.
Will operate on AC/DC when wired to DC plug.
Includes the matching SP 150 speaker.

Physical Description:

Cabinet and speaker are freshly coated in matching communications gray. Polished the hardware. Minimal Blems. Need to look hard to find any.
Chassis and electronics board are clean as a whistle. Tuning strings are strong and taught.
Performed the popular speaker mod by adding a screen and sound deadening material to reduce any "tinny" sound.
The faceplate is shiny, Lettering is perfect.
All original labels and decals are present.
Dial Glass is clean, clear . Dial glass backplate is clean and rich black.
Cleaned the board, and de-oxed all switches, lubed the Pots..
Radio knobs and switches function quietly.
No evidence of capacitor leakage or electronics issues.

While testing, I received very many Shortwave Stations and Hams, on all bands with our WDX2RADIO 50' long bare wire antenna. (i'm including this! read on). Great AM Broadcast Band reception, and Ham band reception in SSB on 80 through 10 meters.

This radio will serve the Beginner, Novice, and Intermediate Shortwave Enthusiast nicely. It will also serve well for Radio Clubs, Cub Scout and Boy Scout Radio Projects, Ham radio Preperation, and Emergency Preparedness. I have even had teachers purchase these radio's for Geographical and World Cultures School Class Projects...etc...
