Sebah & Joaillier were a photography studio based in Istanbul, Turkey, in the late 19th century. The studio was founded by Pascal Sebah and Georges Joaillier, who were both photographers and entrepreneurs. They were known for their high-quality photographs, which were produced using the wet plate collodion process. The studio became popular among tourists visiting Istanbul, and its photographs were widely distributed and sold internationally. In addition to producing portraits and views of Istanbul, Sebah & Joaillier also photographed people and events throughout the Ottoman Empire and beyond. The studio continued to operate until the early 20th century, and its photographs are now considered to be important historical documents. They were bestowed the title of Ottoman Palace Photographers in 1899.
