Blue Suede News music magazine #31 (summer 1995) in mint condition. It has 52 pages with a slick cover. Slim Harpo is featured with a cover story called A Swamp Blues Legend, a very informative and extensive story about the blues singer and harmonica player who had hits like I’m A King Bee. There is also an interview with band leader, singer and songwriter Ray Condo, who toured all over the world with his eclectic mix of Rockabilly, Swing, Western Swing and Bill Haley style Rock’n’Roll. Another feature is the lengthy obituary of New Orleans Saxophone legend and Fats Domino side man Lee Allen. There is also a concert review about a show the Everly Brothers played at Six Flags in New Jersey and one about Ronnie Dawson and Eddie Angel, playing in the Bay Area.

Every issue of Blue Suede News “House Organ of the Church of Rock’n’Roll” features articles/interviews/photos on pioneers of American Roots Music, and on those artists who are carrying on the traditions with a strong sense of roots. There also is a huge review section covering CDs, books, videos, even sometimes vinyl records. The Tidbit Jukebox column features odd little items you might not have known about your favorite rock’n’rollers, Rockabilly acts, country stars or blues men. Blue Suede News also covers Cajun, Zydeco, Doo Wop, Surf, Honky Tonk, Tex-Mex, Swing, alt. and traditional Country and everything in between.
