This LWCW shirt provides its user lighter weight base layer with wicking capability. The system provides environmental protection in temperatures from 0°F to 50°F when worn with standard clothing items; it also wicks moisture to the outer garment layers.
The undershirt has long sleeves with elastic wrist cuffs. The wrist cuffs consist of double thickness of the basic fabric. The wrist cuffs have sufficient elasticity to prevent constriction of blood flow to the hands. The undershirt has a zipper that begins in the center of the collar top and extends to a level near the bottom of the user's chest. The zipper is designed for easy operation with a gloved hand, and provides the user with ventilation during strenuous activity and is a good match to the basic shade.
