Mats like these are used by our troops to protect them from moisture, stones, and cold while sleeping on the ground. These are surplus and were picked up at the government warehouse.
They are a foam mat and they protect against cold, moisture, and small objects on the ground.
The mats are approximately 72” long and 22” wide. They are approximately 3/8” thick and they weigh about 1 pound. They are GREY in color. If rolled is approximately 6” in diameter when tied. These mats are designed to withstand the very harsh and rugged abuse of battlefield conditions therefore, they should provide you with years and years of service under most any conditions you may find.
These mats also make a good shooting mat, a mat to lie on when working on your car or truck, a tent entrance pad, or a cushioning mat when standing at your work bench for long periods of time. These could also be cut up to use for padding, vibration protection, or insulation material in dog houses, transit cases, boxes, or vehicles.
I’m sure there are hundreds of uses you could find for these mats while hunting, fishing, camping, Boy Scouts, overnight stays, or any other reason you need to protect yourself from the cold, hard ground or floor.
- Condition: Excellent Gently Used Condition: Will show some signs of use, but be in above standard used condition. These mats were not used very much if at all but will have some signs of use.
