The postcard depicts an empty railway building with train tracks
in Carmarthen, South Wales.
The red-brick building has since been demolished to make way for a bypass.
The painting was produced in situ using oils thinned with turpentine
in earthy browns in a spontaneous yet controlled style reminiscent
of American landscape painter Andrew Wyeth.
The original artwork was produced in 1982 and measures 24" x 18".
On the reverse of the card there is enough space to write an address and a short message.
Only 100 of these cards have been printed and they might not be printed in this format again.
