What type of plastic is safe for carrier oils? |
Whilst several types of plastics are available, depending on the material used to create them, only two plastic types are considered safe for essential oils – PET and HDPE. Our 100ml, 250ml and 500ml bottles are made from PET plastic. Our 1, 2 and 5 litre containers are made from HDPE plastic. Other types of plastics react with the compounds present in carrier and essential oils and degrade them to form toxic compounds. |
