Rustic Pine Wooden Chest

This beautifully handmade wooden chest is made in our own workshop in Warwickshire, UK. The chest is individually prepped, assembled and finished by hand to give each one it's own unique character to replicate the look of old vintage shipping trunks. It's worth noting that this item is made from carefully sourced, high quality Quebec yellow pine not to be confused with cheaper European white/red pine. The planks we use are very wide so you get to appreciate the full grain pattern and they are a full 1 inch (25mm) thick, not 18mm or less like many others use. Being made from new materials it is solid and you can be sure it will last a lifetime as it is rot and worm free unlike others available made from used pallets, etc.

This versatile piece of furniture has a number of uses... Blanket box, coffee table, toy box, or even stand it on its end to use as a unique cupboard!

As mentioned it is hand finished with 2 coats of 'Rustic Pine' wax which really brings out the character and gives a lovely smooth feel with a subtle shine. For other colours please see our other listings.

The top is hinged and has a hasp and staple so the chest can be locked with the use of a padlock. It also conveniently has quality 14mm hemp rope handles on both sides to make it easier to move around the home and for added decoration.

Dispatch Time

To keep cost down and pass on our savings to you the customer... we don't stock. We operate our handmade products on a "made to order" basis. So please allow 15 working days for your order to be made and dispatched. We work hard to get your items to you asap so in many cases you will receive it much sooner. Once it is ready for dispatch you will be contacted to arrange a convenient day for delivery.


Shipping

We ship for FREE (once made) via Parcel force next working day service. You can upgrade your delivery to Saturday or you specify an AM (pre 12pm) delivery but there will be a small additional fee if you choose to upgrade. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
