Roof Finishes
Roof Glass – The glass has been developed with world
leading manufacturers to ensure that a broad choice of specialist glass is
available to cater for all tastes and requirements. Selecting the correct glass
specification is a key factor when choosing your new conservatory. As an example,
it is recommended that south facing conservatories have double glazed units
with enhanced solar properties to minimise UV light and solar gain.
Our entire range of glass comes with
self-clean coating that reacts with UV rays to loosen and break down dirt
particles on the surface. Self-cleaning glass leaves less dirt and grime
adhering to the glass resulting in the glass staying cleaner for longer,
meaning less maintenance is needed.
Low Maintenance / Blue Tint – This is our standard offering in our glass range which comes with a 60%
heat reflection and U-value of 1.2.
Sunshade Blue / Low E - This is our best performing blue tint glass which offers 82% sun
reflection and a U-Value of 1.0.
(Other options available on request –
Aqua, Neutral, Ultra and Bronze)
25mm / 35mm Multiwall Polycarbonate – Polycarbonate is the perfect
alternative to glass if you are working to a tight budget. It offers high
impact resistance and has a built in UV protection to protect the sheet from
sun damage. All are designed to reduce glare and minimise solar heat gain.
Available in a variety of specifications – Clear, Opal, Bronze Opal and Bronze.
It can also be supplied as a heatguard option which offers better insulation.
Optional Extras
Roof Vents – A roof vent is one of the easiest ways to add ventilation to your
conservatory during the warmer months. Vents are available on all our roof
systems and can be supplied with a variety of different opening mechanisms. The
options available are manual opening, electronic opener or an electric opener
with thermostat and rain sensor.
Decorative Cornice – The cornice is an excellent enhancement to your chosen conservatory
which will transform the way it looks from the outside giving it a traditional
or modern feel depending on the style chosen. The cornice is designed to hide
the end rafters and guttering on your roof therefore completely enhancing the
visual impact of your conservatory. There are 4 different options available – 1
Tier, two or three tiers, alternatively a curved option for the more
traditional look.
Insulated Pelmet – The internal pelmet sits around the perimeter of the room, giving the
illusion of a flat roof with a lantern on top. The pelmet would require
plastering (by yourself or others) and provides the perfect location to install
spotlights and speakers. This is available in any depth from 300mm – 1200mm.
