____________
IMPORTANT NOTE
Staining and pitting is a rare phenomenon that occurs due to bad handling of cutlery. Knife blades are made from harder stainless steel in order to achieve a lasting edge, however this stainless steel is of a lower corrosion resistance. Prolonged contact with water is probably responsible for more staining and pitting trouble than anything else. If cutlery is left undried, or actually immersed in water for prolonged periods of time, it can cause corrosion.
The following guidelines should be noted to avoid any potential problems :
- Wash cutlery immediately after use.
- Never leave it to dry overnight and do not use the 'rinse and hold' cycle.
- As soon as the dishwasher has finished its cycle, remove cutlery and dry.
- Do not leave overnight in a damp environment.
- Load the cutlery to the dishwasher correctly and use the correct amount and quality of detergent.
