The Z86E11F1 is the real EPROM-version of the Z8 (with window,see photo) and NOT an OTP-version (without window, only one time programming)
Under program control, the Z8 can be tailored to the needs of its user. It can be configured as a stand-alone microcomputer with 4K bytes of internal EPROM, a traditional microprocessor that manages up to 120K bytes of external memory, or a parallel-processing element in a system with other processors and peripheral controllers linked by the Z-BUS. In all configurations, a large number o fpins remain available for I/O. The 4Kx8 on-board EPROM can be programmed in three modes, Eprom-like, Self programming and Autoloading. In Eprom-like, the programming procedure is similar to that for a M2732 (using an interface board), with the only exception being for the programming voltage which must be 12.5V related to the SGS-THOMSON NMOS-E3 used technology. Self-programming permits byte-pro gramming during normal microcomputer program execution.
