Viscosity differs greatly between manufacturers

so Maxima Racing 10wt = 6.2cST

& Silkolene Pro 10wt  = 14.0cST

‘cSt’ stands for CentiStokes,

in most cases it is measured @ 40deg ( temp )

and sometimes @100deg

and it is an accurate dynamic measure of viscosity

This will impact greatly how your

fork/ shock behaves !

In the old days before modern cartridges

we used to tune our forks by

changing oil weight and or quantity.

It was, in many cases,

the only change available to us

Check the manufacturers specs

for the oil used in your fork

and try to get as close as you can.

Or go for a slightly thicker / thinner

oil if your feeling brave !!
