Description

Pack of 30 viable seeds of Carpinus turczaninowii (Korean hornbeam) – with full instructions for germination

The Korean hornbeam is a much smaller tree than its European cousin, getting around 20-25 feet tall in the ground, but makes a perfect bonsai specimen as it is easily ‘dwarfed’ to less than a couple of feet tall within a bonsai pot

Its leaves, at around 3cm in length, are red and purple in the spring, turning green, and then putting on a spectacular show in the autumn with colours of yellow, orange and red

It doesn’t end there though, as it has one of the most beautiful bare forms over the winter months, so looks stunning all year round

It has been a favourite specimen for bonsai growers for a very long time
