Frequently Asked Questions Can you engrave in colour? The photo's are all engraved into the metal so are shades of white/grey/silver. Colour photo engraving is not possible unfortunately. Can you see the engraving clearly from all angles? The photo engraving process uses a diamond tipped head to imprint the photo onto the metal surface of the item. The photo's are engraved in shades of white/grey and when viewed in different light and angles an holographic effect is produced on the item. As most of our items are highly reflective and mirror polished, depending on the angle and the light reflecting on the surface, this will result in whether the detail in the engraved photograph can be seen or not. Can you engrave any photograph? Most photographs can be engraved but it also depends on the quality and also the positioning of the subject(s). For example, a large group photo with many people or distance shot would not be suitable for our charms and smaller items due to the small area to fit the detail into. A good quality image = a good quality engraving. |
