Item: CUP & SAUCER LEFTONS CHINA VINTAGE FROM JAPAN DEMITASSE PATTERN 271

Description: Up for your consideration is a really pretty cup and saucer from the world famous LEFTON'S CHINA. This impressive cup and saucer was crafted in mid century Japan and is their pattern number 271. It is made of a fine bone china and finished in gold and black against a bright white porcelain. The decorations are all hand painted. Interestingly both the cup and the saucer still have the original red and gold foil label still affixed to the bottom. The label reads: Lefton's REG U.S. PAT. OFF. Exclusives Japan". The CUP feels really nice in your hand.

The CUP has a 1-1/2" diameter at the top rim and it proudly stands about 2-1/4" tall. The SAUCER has a diameter of 4-7/8"

There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or utensil marks. It is in great condition, it has been kept out of the light too as the colors are fresh and vivid. There is some slight wear in one spot on the gold trim on the rim of the saucer but it is not really noticeable but wanted to mention it.
