In an emergency situation, unravel the paracord ends to give access to the paracord for your use. A general rule for this type of bracelet, one inch on the wrist equals 2 foot of paracord, so 8 inches equals 16 feet. The length of the trim color is less than 1 foot.

Now you need to make an allowance for comfort.
