BIG VIADUCT II stands today, one hundred twenty six (126) years later, operating in revenue service! As of 2015 this viaduct continues to be a intregal component of NS - Norfolk Southern operations in Western PA. Prototype is truly at the heart of the former PRR System. Model replicates the current BVII viaduct design, as Big Viaduct 1 was destroyed during the Johnstown Flood. All passenger & freight trains on the former "Broadway" mainline utilize this viaduct to cross over the Conemaugh river near Johnstown, PA.
The original builders would be proud of their work.

of the PRR, “Standard Railroad of the
World”. My model commemorates the prototypes
