OPEL VIVARO '01 - '14 REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR "OVER THE EDGE" DESIGN

Our rear bumper protectors are made from top-quality EVA, an extremely hard wearing material used extensively in the commercial market.

 

They look great, are custom-cut for each vehicle and are very easy to fit. 

 

The entire bumper strip is backed with 3M adhesive, no drilling required.

 

They provide an essential safety improvement and are extremely grippy even when wet.

 

Cost-effective, being a cheaper and faster alternative to a respray on scratched bumpers.

 

Please make sure that you have at least a 4mm gap between the bottom of the door and bumper.

You will require the following items to fit your Rear Bumper Protector.

Fitting Instructions

Hairdryer or Heatgun Gloves and Hot Soapy Water

IMPORTANT – Please read the following instructions to make sure you fit the bumper strip/foot mats correctly.

  1. Put your gloves on.
  2. Clean the bumper thoroughly with hot soapy water, now dry completely with a heat gun or hairdryer.
  3. Wipe the bumper with the alcohol cloth provided and wait 5 mins.
  4. Peel the paper off the back of the bumper strip and carefully place it in the correct position onto the bumper.
  5. With a heat gun or hairdryer gently heat the entire bumper strip, especially around the edges. The bumper strip will become soft and if you have ridges on the surface you need to gently press the bumper strip over them. When it cools down it will keep its shape.

For "Over the Edge" Bumper Strips: As Above plus the following points:

  1. Gently heat the bumper strip with a heat gun or hairdryer long-ways through the middle so it starts to bend at least 45 degrees over the edge of the bumper.
  2. With your fingers (wear gloves) press firmly over the bumper especially around the edges.

Reasons why the bumper strip may not stick: Temperature is too cold. The bumper has not been cleaned enough. Not enough heat applied to the bumper. Brand new bumpers are often sprayed with silicone from the factory (needs extra cleaning).

Fitting Instructions

  1. After cleaning the bumper, heat with a heat-gun or hairdryer.
  2. Warm the bumper so it moulds over the ridges.
  3. If fitting an over the edge style warm the edge so it folds over.
