 Cooking

Smoke point is the temperature at which any cooking oils start to break down to free fatty acids and produces smoke. High smoke point (up to 216-degree Celsius) is one of the greatest strengths of grapeseed oil. The property is useful for bringing natural taste and nutty flavor in sauteing and stir-frying as well.

Grapeseed oil is also great as a base for flavoring with herbs including ginger, garlic, rosemary, and more. However, the oil is often used for making homemade mayonnaise and salad dressing.

Skin Care

Human facial skin and full-body skin takes plenty of benefits from various grapeseed oil uses. The oil can be used as moisturizer, acne remedy, anti-aging agent, wound healers, and more . It contains a bunch of useful subtances including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, vitamin E, and linoleic acid.

Grapeseed oil is almost an all-in-one substance which you can use as a complete skin treatment solution every day because it is very light and safe to use for sensitive skin also. The oil performs very well to tackle many skin problems especially for people with dry skin type.

Hair Care

The extraction results of grapeseed are able to stimulate the growth of hair cell. In general, the oil inhibits the destruction of collagen thus it will improve overall health condition of all body tissues including skin and hair.

For optimum hair treatment results, you may need a combination of grapeseed oil, rosemary oil, and lavender oil in a ratio of 10:2:2. It is recommended that you use the mixture for hot oil hair treatment twice a week.

 Anti-aging

Other grapeseed oil uses for cosmetic purposes include its ability to protect skin from sun exposure and increase antioxidant level in the blood. When applied directly to facial skin, especially to under-eye circles, the oil reduces the appearance of those signs of aging approximately in a week. On the other hand, it may increase the level of antioxidant in the blood thus it reduces aging signs from inside the body.

Some studies also suggest that ingested grapeseed oil actually provides antimicrobial, anti-aging, and anti inflammatory properties to the body.

 Medicinal

Perhaps the greatest benefits of grapeseed oil are for medicinal purposes. In fact, the oil contains plenty of useful ingredients including beta-carotene, vitamin C, flavonoids, and more. It can even reduce the level of LDL (bad cholesterol) and increase HDL (good cholesterol).

Numerous studies suggest that grapeseed oil is useful for various medical treatments, such as cancer, liver, kidney problems, heart disease, and liver conditions.

Acne and Dermatitis

Research suggests that the linoleic acid in Grape Seed Oil has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergen, acne reductive, and moisture retentive properties. It contains 73% of linoleic acid which may be beneficial in the treatment of acne, dermatitis, allergic reactions, atopic eczema and dry and itchy skin. Applying a small amount of Grape Seed Oil onto affected skin areas can also be beneficial.

A few studies suggest that regular oral intake of Grape Seed Extract may suppress the development of different types of cancers and may induce apoptosis - a process that triggers the self-destruction and elimination of damaged and superfluous cells in many cellular systems. Therefore, taking one Grapeseed capsule two to three times daily may be helpful as a preventive measure for people who are at a high risk of the disease. Grapeseed Oil contains oligomeric proanthocyanidin and flavonoids, which are known to help with capillary integrity. Therefore, taking one Grape Seed Extract capsule twice daily may be beneficial for damaged vessels, impaired capillary valves and poor blood circulation that cause hemorrhoids and varicose veins.

Therefore taking Grapeseed supplements daily may help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks, and saggy skin. A suggested remedy is to also apply Grapeseed Oil onto the affected skin daily overnight.
