Lamaj Perfume fragrant oils last anywhere up to 24hrs when applied to your skin and even longer if applied to clothing. Just a little dab of this oil on the wrist or neck goes a long way. Being oil based and undiluted the fragrances last longer than alcohol based perfumes. All commercially available perfume fragrances are fragrant oils with fillers, usually alcohol. The reason for the alcohol is it causes the the fragrant oils to evaporate a lot faster than on it's own, anywhere up to 15x faster. This makes the perfume seem up to 15x stronger than it is, so they can put a very minimal amount of fragrant oil in a large bottle and the alcohol gives it that kick to make it a lot stronger. That's why the aroma can seem so overwhelming when you first put on the perfume and the same reason why the scent is gone in an hour or two because the fragrance oil has evaporated with the alcohol. Another reason for fillers is that a large bottle of perfume looks better than a small bottle of oil. The downside of alcohol or fillers (namely ethanol, which is used in the perfume industry) is that it's a drying agent , so not only does it evaporate the fragrance but it drys the skin and some people think they are allergic to perfume but really it's the ethanol that causes the irratation.
