Borrowing technology from Shimano's top of the line mountrain biking XTR technology, their XT BL-M785 Hydraulic Disc Brakes function as top-of-the-line brakes at a more affordable price. The pivot point has be re-designed on the the arc of the lever so that it more closely mimics the movement of your fingers, ensuring a more secure lever pull, along with a tool-free adjustment for precise reach. Added to this, a free stroke adjustment is able to change the distance between the pad and the rotor for more absolute braking on the go

Working in conjunction, Shimano's Servo Wave technology causes the gap from the pad to the rotor to close quickly as the brake lever is pulled, then slow, so that modulation is predictable. This movement allows pads to be set farther away from the rotors, reducing drag

The calipers house a 22 millimeter ceramic piston, and Shimano uses a banjo fitting for the hose attachment at the caliper. Lastly, Shimano's Radiator Pads are used on the calipers with integrated fins, helping dissipate heat so that braking power remains strong and consistent

Easily mounted and pre-bled, this system comes with the complete assembly, except for rotors. Sold separately as Left/Front with a 1000 millimeter cable (BL-M785-L) and Right/Rear with a 1700 millimeter cable (BL-M785-R)
