Description
Amazonite, sometimes known as Amazon Stone, is a green variety of Feldspar and is believed to be a sacred stone in some cultures. A light aqua-green stone with white mottled flecks, the name is derived from the Amazon River after certain green stones were found in Brazil. It was extensively used by the ancient Egyptians and is said to give a cooling and soothing effect to the mental state.
