The Temperature Gauge Compensator designed for use with the Veglia temperature gauge that is often identified as the "260 degree gauge" which has the red and blue on the dial face.
The 1971 and 1972 Panteras with Veglia temperature gauges (230 degree) and do not have the red and blue on the dial face should not be used with the Temperature Compensator.
If you have a 1971 or 1972 Pantera that has high engine operating temperature indicated on the gauge, then it's an engine cooling problem and should be addressed.
