This awesome Amusements large, Downton Abbey musical retro television set is brand new, and is exclusively by Roman, Inc. It is Roman Item #10717, and the TV itself is 7-1/2" high (14-1/2" high with the silver antennae), and is about 8-1/2" wide and 5-1/2" deep. It runs on 3 "AAA" batteries (not included), and the battery compartment is on the back of the T.V. We took pictures from all angles, hoping to capture its wonderful details and functionality, but unfortunately you can't really get the full, charming, festive effect of the lights, motion and music from photos. If you click on each photo and run your cursor over them, that enlarges the details. We picked these up at Roman's actual warehouse, and they did NOT come in boxes, but rest assured, we check all of our Amusements for functionality, and they will be extremely well packed for safe shipping.
The TV itself is a thick plastic, made to resemble a retro dark wood television, with beige screen trim, a beige antennae base with silver antennae, and beige, gold and brown control knobs, and it has "DOWNTON ABBEY" in dark brown lettering below the screen on the trim. The TV screen is a thick, clear plastic, which looks like glass, but is much more durable. The ornate Downton Abbey resin scene inside is of the Downton Abbey Highclere Castle with a stone front circle, with two old-fashioned royal blue, gold, black, and silver cars circling it, lush green lawns, and small and large trees surrounding it. The three interior walls are a backdrop of blue sky and clouds, with more sweeping lawns, bushes and trees.
The left control knob (your right in the photo) is the numbered On/Off switch and volume control. When you turn it to the right, it turns on the lights and the two cars rotate counterclockwise around the castle. It allows for no music at all, with just the steady lights and motion, and the further to the right you turn it, the volume of the music increases, and the lights flicker gently to the music, just like you were watching an old-fashioned TV.
