German Antique Collectible WW1 Thimble with a Beautifully Aged Blue Case

The bottom of the case is marked "Germany" however the thimble is unmarked. It has a silver look to the outside while the inside of it looks more of a brass color. 

This item was found in a WW1 veterans chest with all his items from the war. The chest has not been opened for 100 years therefore we can guarantee this is an authentic World War 1 item as well as the other World War 1 items being sold on my eBay.
