Schneider 420mm (16-1/2") f/9 Repo-Claron Lens for 4x5, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 Cameras


Very rare lens. This is a four element lens similar to Ronars and Artars. Very sharp and enormous coverage. 


I have not been able to come up with image circle information, but some websites say it will cover much larger than 11x14”. If anyone knows please let me know. The aperture scale on the shutter is not original as is shows lower f-stops than f/9. 


This is not a lens that I have personally used and can’t find much info on, so do your own research before buying. 


This is a fluorite lens (mildly radioactive glass) and has the amber cast associated with it. The glass is very clean and is coated. 


There is one tiny blemish I could find on the front element (see photo with arrow).  Certainly nothing that could effect an image but I thought I should point it out. 


The shutter is a Copal No. 3. Speeds are accurate. 



Comes with generic caps and jamb ring.
