Our BLACK EDITION is the best sensor we've ever offered in seven years. The surface of the conductor tracks is absolutely perfect and the quality of the output signal is better than anything we've ever tested. To avoid confusion with cheaper products, the boards of BLACK EDITION are colored in black. This is an air flow meter sensor (potentiometer) for the KE-Jetronic injection system. It is not an original item, but a highest quality replacement.

It is a known issue of the KE-Jetronic that this component wears out over the years. Dead spots then cause sudden jumps in the signal for small changes in the air flow. The effects range from instable idle, sudden shaking, starting problems and loss of power to misfiring and stalling of the engine. The only remedy is the replacement of the sensor. Unfortunately, MB offers only complete air flow meters at prices that make the repair uneconomical in most cases.

The sensor is compatible with original numbers 3437224035, 3437010039, 3437224015 and fits most M102/103/116/117 engines in the W124, W126 and W201 series as well as some SL Roadster and G models (see list at end of text).
